Kapoho | Big Island Hawaii
Kapoho Tide Pools (Waiopae) was a marine sanctuary located in the Puna District of the Big Island. It was known for its beautiful coral and a variety of reef fish. As of June 2018, I am sad to say that lava from the 2018 Kilauea eruption from fissure #8 in Leilani Estates made its way to the ocean, taking out Kapoho Tide Pools.
